Company

Astaroa works on technology for people who stutter. It was founded by an engineer and an audiologist, and it does its research before it builds anything.

Principles

  1. Evidence before claims. Astaroa says nothing about what works until a study has shown it.
  2. Research before building. The problem, the people who live with it and what already exists for them are studied first.
  3. Built with people who stutter. One of the two founders is one.
  4. Results reported whichever way they come out. A finding that disappoints is published like one that does not.
  5. Reasons written down. Every decision is recorded with the reasoning behind it, so that it can be checked later.
